1. Who we are

This website is operated by FourFourFive Limited, a company registered in Scotland, with its registered office at 4 Hughes Close, Edinburgh, EH7 4FU ("we", "us", "our").

2. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website and the tools or content on it, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site.

3. The service

This website provides free online tools, guides and related content. The tools and content are offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use this website lawfully and for its intended purpose. In particular, you agree not to:

  • use automated tooling to generate abnormal load on our infrastructure or bypass rate limits
  • attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service, or bypass security measures
  • use the service to distribute malware, phishing content, or any material that is unlawful or infringes third-party rights
  • misrepresent the source or ownership of any output produced by the tools
  • use the site to harass, abuse or harm another person

We may suspend or restrict access to the service for any user who breaches these terms or places the service at risk.

5. Intellectual property

The website, its branding, design and underlying software are the intellectual property of FourFourFive Limited. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except a limited, non-exclusive right to use the site for its intended purpose.

Where you input text or data into a tool and receive an output, you retain any rights you have in your input and the resulting output, subject to the terms of any third-party services the tool integrates with. You are responsible for ensuring that any data you input does not infringe the rights of others.

6. Disclaimers

The tools and content on this website are provided for general information and productivity purposes. They are not a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise). We do not warrant that the tools are accurate, complete, error-free or suitable for any specific purpose, and you are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the website or its tools.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Scotland.

8. Third-party services and links

Where the site links to, integrates with, or relies on third-party services, we are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of those third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using this website you acknowledge that personal data is handled as described in that policy.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FourFourFive Limited and its officers, directors and employees from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, any content you submit, or your breach of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version. Your continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

13. Affiliate programme

This section applies if you join the Cliphound affiliate programme at /affiliates. Joining is free. We approve applications at our discretion and may decline any that are not a fit.

13.1 Commission

  • You earn 30% of every cleared, non-refunded payment a referred customer makes to Cliphound (subscriptions, plan changes and overage), for the first 12 months from their first payment.
  • The term is 12 calendar months from that first cleared payment. It does not pause, extend, or bank unused months if the customer pauses, downgrades or cancels.
  • Commission is calculated on the net amount the customer actually pays, excluding VAT or sales tax, and after any discount they used.
  • Commission follows their actual plan: if they upgrade it goes up, if they downgrade it follows.

13.2 Attribution

  • We issue you a unique referral link. Referrals are attributed on a 60-day, last-click basis: a later click on a different partner's link takes over and restarts the window.
  • Attribution locks when the customer's subscription is created, and does not move after that.
  • If a customer names you at onboarding inside the window but arrived without your link, we may credit you manually where our records support it. Our records decide.
  • One referring partner per customer. Commission is never split.

13.3 Payouts

  • Monthly, in arrears, within the first 5 working days of the month, covering payments that cleared in the previous calendar month.
  • Minimum payout $50; smaller balances roll over until crossed. Paid in USD by Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer. You are responsible for your own taxes.
  • Your first payout may lag your first referral by up to about six weeks (payment clearing plus monthly arrears).
  • Refunds and chargebacks reverse the matching commission. If it has already been paid, the reversal nets off your next payout.

13.4 What does not earn commission

  • Self-referrals: your own subscription, or one bought by your organisation or using your payment details.
  • Anyone who was already a Cliphound customer when they first clicked your link.
  • Refunded or charged-back payments.

13.5 Promotion rules

  • Disclose the affiliate relationship wherever you share your link (FTC / ASA rules; "#ad" or "affiliate link" is fine).
  • No brand-term bidding: do not bid on "Cliphound" or misspellings in paid search, and do not use it in ad display URLs.
  • No spam, and no cookie-stuffing (forced or hidden loading of your referral link).
  • Quote real pricing. Never promise views, virality or guaranteed results, and do not invent features.
  • Breach voids the affected commission; a second breach removes you from the programme.

13.6 Changes, and your status

  • We may change this section or end the programme on 30 days' notice, sent to the email address on your partner record. Commission already accrued is always honoured, and referrals locked before a change date stay on the terms they were locked under. Changes are prospective, never retroactive.
  • You are an independent partner, not an employee or agent of Cliphound, and cannot make commitments on our behalf.
  • Partner data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
